MOORING LINES
Our Mooring Lines
Mooring lines can be made from the rope of your choice. However our stock mooring lines are made from synthetic hemp or black multifilament polypropylene (similar construction to the synthetic hemp– click here for information) in 10m or 15m lengths and are eye spliced at one end and back spliced at the other. However should you wish both ends can be eye spliced or left unspliced for you to finish yourself.

Useful Tips:
A good “rule of thumb” to estimate the length of the mooring lines that you require is to stand on the tow path at the centre of your boat and measure to the dolly at the bow or the stern and then add 10% for ease of use.
15m lines are often used as a centre line to allow the rope to reach to the back of the boat and are particularly useful in deep locks.
